Minor: Kilpeacon minors a combination of Ballybricken/Bohermore, Fedamore and Crecora lost out to Kildimo/Pallaskenery in the minor Football county semi final last Sunday played in excellent conditions in Clarina field. Our opponents were quicker to start and took an early lead with a fortuitous goal, Ballys Daniel Ownes got us off the mark with an excellent point but we trailed at half-time 1-8 to 0-3. We started the second half with greater intent and early goals from Killian Scanlon and Daniel Ownes had the minimum between the teams with 10 mins on the clock. The players kept battling hard and exchange scores with their opponents until a late Jack Cross free put us head by a point but deep in injury time our opponents equalised from a free. The match went to extra time and Kildimo once again got on top but we could not launch another come back and they ran out winners 3-19 to 3-10 . A great effort from the players who gave a great account of themselves and could have being winners on another day in a match full of drama. Thanks to selectors Tom Connolly, Ger Riordan and Colm Teefy for their hard work during the year.
