Club News week commencing April 9th 2018


Adult Hurling: On 08/04/2018, in Caherelly, Ballybricken/Bohermore Junior As played the first league game of the year when they faced Ahane in the East Junior A Hurling League. This proved to be a good display in what was a well contested game played in heavy conditions.  In a good physical battle, Bally started well and led by 0-2 to 0-1 after 15 mins. Points from Sean Teefy and 1-2 from Conor McCarthy helped Bally to a 1-5 to 0-6 lead at half time. The second half was a much tighter affair with both teams matching each other for scores, Bally maintaining a lead of 1-10 to 0-10 going into the final quarter. Ahane, however, finished the stronger outscoring Bally in the final quarter  and eventually won on a score line of: Ballybricken/Bohermore 1-12, Ahane, 3-13.Team lined out as follows:  1. Colm Nicholl (both on 40mins), 22 , 26, Eoin Kloos for 12 Matt Mitchell, (both on 45 mins) , 21 John Casey for 7. John Stack on 50 mins. Scorers: Sean Teefy 0-1, Matt Mitchell 0-1,Conor McCarthy 1-10 (0-9 frees).


Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Puppy stake 2018:Well done to Scott Ryan representing Ballybricken-Bohermore on finishing 3rd in the U12 Puc Fada final which took place on Saturday night last at the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Puppy stake 2018. We are also delighted to report that the Ballybricken-Bohermore dog 'Lemon Shane'  qualified again and is now through to the semi-final’s taking place at the limerick greyhound stadium this Saturday April 14th. Please come along to support 'Lemon Shane' in what is a family friendly night out (kids go free) and don’t forget to wear our club colours.


Training and Fixtures: The minor footballers playing under the name Kilpeacon are out this Friday against Pallasgreen , adult training continues on Friday at 7pm with a Junior A league game down for Sunday there are also junior B hurling and junior A football league next week see leader sport fixtures, club text and social media for exact dates and times.
