U21s:Ballybricken/Bohermore played the county A U21 hurling semi-final losing out to Claughan by 0-20 to 1-12. Playing into a slight breeze Bally worked hard and were score for score in the early stages with Conor Mcarthy racking up four points from placed balls. We struggled to score from play until before half time when Conal Ryan found the net after some good inter play from the forwards leaving the half time score 1-4 to 0-10. Bally took a few mins to get going in the second half but a further three frees from Conor Mcarthy and two from play from Michael Martin left it all square going into the last quarter. We got ahead thanks to a Conor Mcarthy point but unfortunately were outscored 8 points to 2 in the remaining minutes with Dan Owens and Conal Ryan getting our scores. So an excellent year for our U21 hurlers came to an end well done to all players and selectors Joseph Teefy, Mark O Dea, John Casey, Hugh Leonard and Larry Browne for their endeavor during the year. Team from Shane O Neill, Jack Owens, Eoin Kloss, Adam McCarthy, Cillian O Brien, Alan O Riordan, Niall Mitchell, Sean Teefy, David Ryan (c), Conor McCarthy 0-8 (7f), Michael Martin 0-2, Adrian Lennon, Daniel Owens 0-1, Dylan Conway, Conal Ryan 1-1, J Cross, Eoghan O Neill and Jack Cross.
