Club News week commencing Feb. 19th 2018

U21 Hurling: Our U21 hurlers recorded their second victory of the campaign with a good win against Cappamore on Saturday last. Played in Cappamore in fair conditions for the time of year we flew out of the traps and produced some excellent scores from distance from Conor McCarthy, David Ryan, Conal Ryan and Daniel Owens. Bally were threating a goal and it duly came from J Cross leaving the score 1-13 to 0-2 in our favour at half time. The opposition were more resolute in the second period and limited BB to three scores from play with two points from J Cross and a goal from Conal Ryan. The second goal was an example of simple hurling done well, it came from a quick line ball a long delivery to the edge of the square followed by a great fetch and finish from Ryan. This left the final score showing Ballybricken/Bohermore 2-16 Cappamore 1-07 another good win for the lads with tougher challenges ahead. Team from Shane O Neill, Jack Owens, Adam McCarthy, Michael Martin, Alan O Riordan, Adrian Lennon, David Ryan 0-2, Sean Teefy, Daniel Owens 0-1, Gearoid Mitchell, Conor McCarthy  0-8 (5F), Conal Ryan 1-3, Dylan Conway, J Cross 1-2, Colm Power.

Training: The U21s continue training twice weekly and our juniors will begin the process of reducing the winter excess with their first training session of  a busy year ahead with the hurling east championship continuing as per last year and a step up in grade in football to the junior A championship in all county group format. Please see club text and player viber for exact time and dates.
