Junior A Hurlers had a good win over Croom in the league back on Mon May 4th, a good all round team effort and performance secured the win. Final score  BB: 2-11, Croom 2-7.

Junior B Hurlers played South Liberties on Tue May 5th in what was a close and even contest. Bally had the lead for most the match taking advantage of the conditions in the first half but SL edged ahead in the last quarter and a late goal from Conor McCarthy secured a draw in the end, final score 1-11 to 2-8. Junior B Footballers  had a busy couple of weeks and had a good win over Kilteely Dromkeen on Friday May 1st in Caherelly. An excellent overall team performance resulted in a comprehensive win on the night. Final score BB: 4-12 , KD 1-4. Team: Jamie O Donoghue, Mark O’Dea, Sean Browne, Hugh Leonard, Eoin Lyons, Larry Browne, Paul Martin, Michael Wilkinson (1-6), Enda Frawley(1-0), Denis Stack(1-0), Liam O’Rourke(0-1), John Stack(0-4), John Casey, Colm Teefy(1-0). Our Junior B Footballer then went on to play South Liberties on Thur night last May 7th. Bally were slow getting into the game and allowed SL take advantage and they went in at half time with a lead of 0-7 to 0-2. SL started the second half like the finished the first and scored 1-2, giving them a 10 point lead mid-way through the half. Bally then made a very later surge and a 2 well finished goals from Conal Ryan narrowed the gap to 2 points as the final whistle approached. Bally were then awarded a penalty which we failed to convert. Final score SL: 1-10 to BB: 2-5.

Minor Footballers  

Well done to the minor Footballers who had a very good win over Cappamore on the score of 7-13 to 2-6 back on May 30th in Cappamore. The whole team gave a very committed performance & a special thanks to the three fourteen year olds Niall Mitchell, Daniel Owens & Jack Cross who are very much part of this panel with all three making significant contributions on the night. Team: Dylan Conway, Darragh Kelly, Eoin Kloos, Jack Owens, Adrian Lennon, Alan O Riordan, Shane o Neill, Gearoid Mitchell, Conor McCarthy, Conor Garvey, David Ryan, Jason Cross, Colm Power, Connell Ryan, Daniel Owens, Niall Mitchell & Jack Cross.

U16 Footballers had a great win over Ballybrown back on April 27th, final score was 7-14 to 1-3 , a great team performance, scores came from Jack Crosse (2-1), Jason Crosse (0-7), Daniel Owens (1-0), Padraig Wixton (0-3), Adam Shire (0-1), Jamie Doran (0-1),Cillian McCarthy (3-1).

U15 Hurlers had a great win over Croom and a great team effort and performance , final score 5-7 to 1-5.

U14 Hurlers Well done to our U14 hurlers (Naomh Brid) who took part in a blitz back on May 4th in what turned out to be a great day of Hurling. We lost the final in the end to St. Pats in extra time but thanks to all the teams for a very sporting day of hurling.

Lotto:   There was no Lotto Jackpot winner this week, numbers drawn were 1, 11, 19 and 27. Lucky Dip winners were Pat Clifford, Diane O’Brien, Donal Humpries & Sean Birmingham. The Jackpot is now 8,200 Euro and the next draw will take place in the clubhouse on Mon May 18th at 9.00pm.
