One Lucky GAA Club will be €10,000 richer in 5 Weeks Time!

Saturday 7thMarch sees the return of the hugely anticipated

“Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Puppy Stake” at Limerick Greyhound Stadium.   With a total prize fund of €160,000, this is the richest event ever staged at an Irish Greyhound Stadium outside of Shelbourne Park. The event which is kindly sponsored by JP & Noreen McManus (and is named in honour of Noreen's parents Con & Annie Kirby), also offers local GAA Clubs the opportunity to share in a €20,000 nominators prize fund.

The overall winning nominator club will receive €10,000 and the fantastic opportunity to hold a fundraising night for their club at Limerick Greyhound Stadium at no cost. The nominator club in second and third position will win €5,000 and €2,000 respectively with the three unplaced nominators winning €1,000 each.

There are 72 Greyhounds (subject to filling), with the competition running over a 5 week period culminating in the final on Saturday 4th of April.  Each Greyhound running in the stake is linked to a GAA club from Limerick.  The trap draw takes place Tuesday 3rd of March at 2pm where GAA Clubs will be assigned to a competing Greyhound. Details of the nominators will be made available on and Limerick Greyhound Stadium Facebook page on Wednesday 4th.

 How do we enter?

·         A draw takes place on Tuesday 3rd  of March where each participating Greyhounds will be assigned to a GAA Club. Results of this will be posted on Limerick Greyhound Stadium Social Media pages (Facebook and Twitter)

·         Each club must have a Club representative register at the Turnstile at Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Saturday 7th March and each Saturday night up to and including the Semi Finals on March 28th
