Club News week commencing August 4th


Junior A Hurlers met Fedamore in the second round of the championship on Tue July 30th in Kilteely. Fedamore got off to the better start and had registered 3 points before Michael Wilkinson scored Bally’s first point and Daniel McGuire added a second shortly thereafter. Fedamore responded however with 3 more points before Enda Frawley and Michael Wilkinson added 2 more for Bally. Fedamore however continued to dominate the half and scored another 1-2 before Conal Ryan got Bally’s last score in the half , leaving the half-time scoreline 1-8 to 0-5 to Fedamore.

Fedamore started the 2nd half with the same intensity and went 9 points ahead with an early goal. However from then on Bally worked their way back into the game and dominated the second half which was rewarded with points from Michael Wilkinson (0-7) , Damien Browne (0-1), Enda Frawley (1-0), and Eoin Lyons (0-1). However Fedamore did not give up and registered 2 additional points in the half and both sides were level as the final whistle approached. Bally were then awarded a free which Michael Wilkinson converted to give  Bally s single point lead as the final whistle blew. Final score 1-14 to 2-10 in Bally’s favour.
