Club News week commencing July 30th


U16 Hurlers (Naomh Brid) played Croom on Monday July 31st in Caherelly with a very young side and missing a number of the more sensior players due to the holiday period. Our young side nevertheless played and battled hard against a stronger Croom side that came away victors on the night.
Best of Luck to parishioner Shane Ryan who has qualified for the 2012 Paralympics in London. He will be leaving with the other team members Kevin Du Toit, Sarah Caffrey and Ann-Marie McDaid for a pre-camp in Portugal in the next 2 weeks following a send-off in Dublin Shane and team will go direct from there to London on August 24th. The event itself will take place on Dorney Lake at Eton College grounds from August 31st (heats) through to September 2nd (Final). The Club would like to congratulate Shane on his amazing achievements to date and wish him and the rest of the team the very best of luck at the upcoming 2012 Paralympics in London.
GAA Summer Camp this year is scheduled to take place from August 13th to 17th and is suitable for kids aged from 6 to 14 years. The club are looking for parents to volunteer at Break time during this week. Please contact Kevin Ryan on 086-8151585.
Fixtures: Intermediate Hurlers play Knockaderry in the championship this Friday August 3rd in Kilfinnane at 7.30pm.
