Our Intermediate Hurlers take on Newcastlewest in the 2nd round of the Championship on Friday June 1st in Kilmallock at 7.15pm, all support welcome.

U16 Hurlers (Naomh Brid) played Knockainey on Monday May 14th in Knockainey in the last match before the Junior Cert break. We faced the elements in the first half but got off to a good start when a long range shot from Colm Nicholl  landed in the back of the net. It was not long before Knockainey responded and racked up a series of scores. Although we were slow to get going, well taken goals from Michael Lundon and Conal Ryan kept us in the game. We went in at half time trailing by 2 points 3-0 to 2-5.  Even though we were playing with the elements in the second half it was mid way through the half before we upped the performance with Conal Ryan in great form putting another 2-2 on the scoreboard. Conor McCarthy converted 2 well taken Frees and Colm Nicholl got 2 more points from play. Adrian Lennon and Sean Teefy also put in good performances and we managed to keep Knockainey scoreless in the 2nd half securing a  well-deserved win. Final score 5-6 to 2-5. Team: Geroid Mitchell, Jamie McCarthy, Christopher Coughlan, Sean Teefy, Alan O’Riordan, David Ryan, Colm Nicholl, Adrian Lennon, Shane O’Neill, Conal Ryan, Conor McCarty, Michael Lundon.

Our U12s footballers following  a very satisfactory start on Thursday May 3rd with a very exciting win over near neighbours South Liberties met St. Patricks last Thursday evening May 17th.  The first half was a tight affair with scores difficult to come by and while we enjoyed good possession we were went in at half time leading by just one point. In the second half Bally stepped up the pace and playing some great attacking football  the scores began to flow.  There were some lovely scores from the forwards with Jack Cross, Darragh Hogan and Matthew Pender all showing lovely touches. Special mention must go to our 2 youngest team members Colm O’Riordan and Scott McEvoy who both had starring roles in the victory. The final score line was 5-7 to 2-2 . Team : Ryan Hickey, James Garvey, Niall Mitchell, Daniel Owens, Cillian O’Brien, Jack Cross, Darragh Hogan, Matthew Pender, Cathal Breen, Michael Martin, Colm O’Riordan, Scott McEvoy. Training continues every Tuesday at 6.30 and new team members are always welcome.

U14 Footballers lost to a strong Crecora side on Wed May 16th last in Crecora despite a good second half performance..
