Club Adult AGM meeting summary !!


Club AGM took place Friday 13th January at the clubhouse. There was a good turnout and the committee would like to thank everyone for supporting the meeting. Chairman Liam Mc Carthy announced he was stepping down after having had the position for 3 years and thanked everyone for their support during his term as chairman. Secretary Liz O’ Donoghue gave a comprehensive report on the Intermediate, Junior B, U21 and Minor teams activity in 2011 as well as other successful events such as the launch the 5 yr development plan and new website, the Parish league and fund raising events like the Dog track night, table quiz and poker classic. Liz also announced she would be stepping down as secretary. The club would like to thank both Liam and Liz for the hard work and dedication during their term on the committee. Treasurer Brid Ryan went through the Treasurers report and Kevin Ryan provided an overview of the Development plan report. Regarding the election of officers Bernard Green was nominated and accepted to take up the Club Chairman position, Liam O’Mahony will be staying on as vice Chairman. John Keogh was nominated and accepted the Club Secretary position with the support of a fixture secretary, a position that has yet to be filled. Brid Ryan is staying on as Treasurer with support from Kevin Ryan and Enda Nicholl is staying on as club PRO. John Keogh and Pat Frawley are staying on as County board delegates and Bernard Green and Joe Teefy (Snr) are staying on as East Board delegates. The election of Mentors and selectors has been deferred to a follow up meeting to take place on Thursday Jan 26th at the clubhouse at 8pm. Club membership plan and rates have been agreed for 2012 and are as follows: Family: 50 Euro, Adult 30 Euro, Student 20 Euro and Juvenile (U18) 10 Euro.
